I specialize in branding, digital & print media, graphic & front end web/UI design.
My love for design & digital media developed quite early while at college, I completed my matric and N4, N5, & N6 focusing on subjects like: Graphic design / processes, photography, textiles, drawing, painting and entrepreneurship. When I left college I started out in the signage & branding industry where I gained real world commercial graphic design knowledge, vinyl cutter, digital & sublimation printer & heat-press operation experience, also learning how to handle various substrates / print media / embroidery processes.
I moved on to work for a in house marketing and media agency (I4Africa) & started focusing on creating branding content for the various companies within the holding company (OFT Group) that owned the agency. We had 26 diverse in house companies that we were actively managing the digital media & online presences for, not to mention the public clients that we were slowly trying to faze out to focus more on our internal companies. We re-branded all of them from the ground up by creating corporate identities and stationary, social media profiles and websites, digital content, analytics, marketing campaigns, photography & videography tailored to each brand. I went from graphic designer to more of a senior position & became the agencies marketing and media coordinator.
I was then offered a position as a project manager in the shopfitting manufacture & installation industry, it was a more senior position & I was up for the challenge. After 3 years I found myself designing more & more after hours & decided to take the leap & started up as a freelance front-end web & graphic designer which is where we find ourselves now.
